Subjects » Functional Skills
The UK Government has developed the Functional Skills qualifications as part of the drive to improve the country’s literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. For those who were unable to obtain a GCSE in these key skills, these qualifications are vital. Many jobs currently require either a GCSE in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level Two. The Modern Apprenticeship Scheme often requires the apprentices to pass Levels One and Two.
